3D-XplorMath-J Documentation

The documentation for 3D-XplorMath-J consists of a short "Getting Started" document that is included with the program and a collection of "About this Gallery" and "About this Exhibit" documents that are available on the Internet. For Version 1.0, there is an "About this Gallery" for each of the program's galleries, but only a small number of exhibits have "About this Exhibit" documents. Furthermore, the "About this Gallery" and "About this Exhibit" documents are available in English only. (The "Getting Started" docuement has been translated into most of the available languages.)

When the program starts up, it checks the documentation location to see what "About this Gallery" and "About this Exhibit" documents are available. When a document is available, the corresponding command in the Documentation menu is enabled.

By default, the documentation is located on the Internet at URL http://3d-xplormath.org/j/docs/en. This address is set as the "Documentation Location" in the "Docuemntation Preferences" command in the "Documentation" menu. However, it is possible to download a copy of the documentation so that it can be accessed locally instead of off the Internet. To do this, download the file

http://3d-xplormath.org/j/docs/3D-Xplormath-J-docs-en.zip

Unzip this file. Then, in the 3D-XplorMath-J program, use the "Documentation Preferences" command in the "Documentation" menu to set the Documetation Location to the directory that was created when you unzipped the file. (You can use the "Browse" to select the directory.)
